“Peace is not the absence of conflict, but the ability to cope with it” - Mahatma Ghandi

Mediation is a negotiation between two or more parties by an agreed upon qualified trained neutral third party, the Mediator.

Sklled third party Mediators can lower the emotional temperature in a negotiation, foster more effective commuication between the parties, help uncover less obvious common interests, and help identify possibilities that result in jointly acceptable resolutions focused on obtaining closure to the current situation while preserving relationships.

The Mediator assists the parties in negotiating issues and conflicts by exploring a variety of solutions.

What Is a Qualified Mediator?

A Qualified Mediator is a trained, neutral professional who helps people resolve disputes through conversation, not courtroom battles. While not always an attorney, a qualified mediator has completed State approved mediation training, adheres to strict ethical standards, and is skilled in helping parties find practical, voluntary solutions.

There are many pieces to the Mediation puzzle. At Countywide Mediation we assist participants in navigating their own self directed creative solutions to resolve their differences and enhance the opportunity to continue in ongoing relationships.

We truly believe that LISTENING LOUDLY is the key to your successful outcome in Mediation.
